The Nectar Bar
Hello, my name is Andrea and I grow beautiful flowers on the fringes of south Manchester. The flowers provide much needed nectar for bees, butterflies and other pollinators. If they are feeling generous they share some of this floral bounty with local lovers of fine flowers, hence the strapline "Cocktails for Bees - Blooms for You!"
From a simple subscription for kitchen table flowers, through sumptuous gift bouquets to weddings, events and sympathy arrangements, my flowers are suitable for all occasions.
Sustainable Flowers
Growing with the seasons
I grow and package our flowers as sustainably as possible. Taking care of the soil and creating beneficial wildlife habitats is very important to me and I particularly avoid using peat based products or artificial fertilisers. All the flowers are grown outdoors following the seasons. I cannot grow you a rose in February! This means the flowers truly reflect the season when they are cut.

Small scale cut flower growing can be quite a solitary occupation so I am very proud to be a member of Flowers from the Farm - a UK wide network of similar minded growers and florists. Want to send a bouquet a 100 miles away? Find a local grower/florist via the website.
Best Newcomer 2018!
As a great advocate for British grown flowers, I found myself early in 2018, nominated for the Flowers from the Farm Best Newcomer Award. Winning the North West regional competition was exciting enough so to go on to become the national winner as well was a huge honour. Part of my prize was to spend a day on our Gold Medal winning stand at the Chelsea Flower Show. Amazing!
